Cross-Campus Head of Academics

Thames British School is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Academics to oversee the academic performance and standards of 6 schools operating under the brand. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting the academic teams across the schools to deliver high-quality education in line with the school's ethos, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities: 

●       Develop and implement a comprehensive academic strategy and vision that aligns with the school's overall goals and objectives;

●       Provide leadership and direction and support to the academic teams across the schools to ensure the delivery of high-quality education and continuous improvement;

●       Monitor and evaluate the academic performance of the schools and develop strategies to enhance student outcomes;

●       Lead the creation and implementation of policies and procedures that ensure the highest standards of academic excellence across the schools as well as working towards the COBIS accreditation;

●       Collaborate with the CEO and other stakeholders to develop and maintain partnerships with external organizations and stakeholders to enhance the academic capabilities and support student learning;

●       Foster positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and the wider community, and act as an ambassador and spokesperson for the schools;

●       Develop and maintain effective communication channels with parents, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that they are informed about academic matters across the schools

●       Participate in school governance meetings and committees as required;

●       Collaborate with and support the Marketing Department;

●       Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO, School Board.

Requirements:

●       A Master's degree in Education or a related field;

●       A minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching and senior management role, preferably in an international school setting;

●       Experience in developing and implementing academic strategies and policies;

●       Experience in managing and leading academic staff;

●       Knowledge and understanding of relevant educational standards and best practices;

●       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

●       Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others

●       Strong organizational and problem-solving skills;

●       Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

●       Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion;
