The successful applicant will:

  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education;
  • currently hold or be eligible to hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card; and
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

A casual position exists for a Casual School Crossing Supervisor at St Columban's College. The School Crossing Supervisor may be required to work five days per fortnight in all weather conditions. The hours of work for School Crossing Supervisors are normally 1.5 hours a day and usually comprise of one hour in the morning and ½ hour in the afternoon. The successful applicant is dependent on: • The favourable outcome of a health assessment carried out by a Government Medical Officer or a duly qualified Medical Practitioner according to the guidelines in the “Notes for Medical Practitioner” on the School Crossing Supervisor Scheme – Health Assessment Form; and • A Positive Notice Blue Card (This means you do not need to have a blue card to apply for the position). Applicants are required to advise in writing of any charges that have been laid against them or any offence of which they have been convicted of. If you are successful in your application for this position, you may only commence employment if you hold a current Blue Card or have submitted a Blue Card Application. Applications close at 3.00pm on 25 February 2019.

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
