Job overview

Chase Terrace Academy is a successful, forward-looking 11-18 school. We are a

‘Good’ school (Ofsted Sept 2019), and we are fiercely ambitious about

strengthening our achievement profile further. This is an exciting time for the school

as, subject to consultation, we are moving towards joining the John Taylor MultiAcademy Trust.

At CTA, we strive for our students to be better than they ever thought possible. We

are an ambitious and cohesive community striving for excellence. The school also

has a strong commitment to staff wellbeing and has an excellent programme of

staff CPD and support.

You will benefit from a well-resourced school in a modern building, close to the

Cathedral City of Lichfield with affordable housing and excellent transport links.

This post presents an exciting opportunity for an energetic and inspiring teacher to

join our science team in January 2022 with a particular focus on leading physics.

We are looking for someone who is an effective team player to join, and contribute

to the leadership of, our successful and forward-looking science team. If you are a

highly effective, ambitious teacher with a creative and resourceful mind, we want to

hear from you!

Our science team is well supported by 2 technicians and consists of 9 labs, each

equipped with interactive whiteboards. There is excellent access to technology and

equipment for delivery of a challenging and engaging science curriculum from Key

Stage 3 to Key Stage 5. All of the science disciplines, including physics, are taught by

subject specialists.

We would also welcome applications from those interested in a main scale/UPS

teacher role without additional responsibility, including NQTs or recently qualified

teachers. Equally, the TLR opportunity is open to all applicants.
