Having launched our exciting new leadership structure, we have a vacancy for a senior leader driving standards with a preferred specialism in maths. This is an exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership team of an Academy that is having a substantial impact on pupils’ lives. 

Joining us, you will lead and manage teaching and support staff across Stanground Academy’s Maths, faculty and will have overall responsibility for those outcomes. You will work with other members of the SLT to monitor and track the progress of pupils, the quality of teaching and learning and attendance and behaviour within the faculty. 

To be successful, you will: 

  • be an exceptional middle/senior leader with a demonstrable commitment to helping all pupils achieve their best, despite their background; 
  • have high expectations of behaviour and will motivate staff and pupils through high-quality leadership and management;
  • be an innovative manager, able to analyse and interpret Academy data to support clear, strategic decisions;
  • have experience of leading a successful Mathematics department

You will be well supported by the senior leadership team at the Academy and the Education Support Team of the Trust, to ensure that the overall Academy vision is achieved.

The new Stanground Academy opened on 1 April 2012 and is one of the Greenwood Academies Trust’s Group of Academies, replacing the predecessor Stanground College. The Academy has since undergone a £24M building project and now boasts state of the art” buildings providing academic, vocational and sports facilities for pupils and staff.  These include fully-equipped specialist rooms, extensive sports facilities, a dance studio, a theatre and high tech ICT equipment.
