Our school is a very highly regarded and heavily oversubscribed comprehensive school. We have a strong community ethos and we are committed to ensuring the best learning opportunities and experiences for all students. The Geography department is a collegiate department, which has a record of excellent examination results, well above national averages, securing the following outcomes in 2022:

  • At GCSE, 93% of students secured a pass at Grade 5 and above
  • At A level, 92% of students secured a grade A*- C


The governors are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and talented individual to lead an enthusiastic group of teachers to support the achievement of outstanding curriculum opportunities and outcomes for our students.

We require:

  • an enthusiastic and passionate teacher able to teach across all key stages;
  • a candidate who can provide high quality leadership across a team, working collaboratively in delivering an outstanding curriculum for our students;
  • a clear vision of how the Geography department can develop further;
  • a commitment to high quality, creative teaching and learning supported by excellent planning and assessment;
  • a collegiate approach and a commitment to working as a member of a team;
  • a commitment to the development of the whole person.

Our School Context

We are a 11-18 boys’ comprehensive school offering a co-educational 6th form. We have a long and proud tradition of serving the Catholic community of North London and South Hertfordshire as part of the Diocese of Westminster. Alongside our history, we ensure that we are forward thinking and outward looking, constantly reviewing and evaluating our practice to secure high-quality provision for all. Our school is very popular with parents, oversubscribed and enjoys a strong reputation within the local community.

The Catholic identity of the school is at the very heart of our mission. All staff make a very real contribution to securing our vibrant enrichment and extracurricular provision for students, ensuring that all are supported to “live their lives to the full” and have the opportunity to grow and develop spiritually, morally, academically and socially.
