We are looking to recruit an outstanding Curriculum Leader to work within our successful Humanities department. You will share our vision of achieving excellence and continuing our journey from good to outstanding. The successful candidate will use their strong leadership skills to secure outstanding learning and progress across all of the Humanities subjects. This position will also include responsibility for the subject leadership of the History Department and coordination of Citizenship provision.
Thamesmead is a vibrant and successful school. In 2017 our students gained strong GCSE results. 83% were awarded 5 or more A*-C grades with English and Maths, 78% of the students achieved an A*-C at grade 4+ in English and 81% in Maths. Within Humanities students achieved 78% A*-C in History, 70% Geography and 56% in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics. The School is situated to the West of London in attractive grounds within 300 yards of the River Thames, with good rail and road access. Our students attain high results in many areas of the curriculum and extracurricular activities are a strength of the school.
