About the role:

We are looking for an experienced leader and manager with high expectations of staff and students to lead the Maths and Computer Science Department at City and Islington Sixth Form College. You will lead a large team of staff who teach A level subjects in Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science and the successful postholder will be expected to teach Maths and Further Maths. Maths in particular is a popular for students at the Sixth Form with strong numbers also in Computer Science.

We are looking for applicants who are enthusiastic, innovative, care about students and want to work in a supportive and friendly environment. City and Islington Sixth Form College is a well-established and over-subscribed specialist A-level centre, with 1600 on roll. We are situated on one site at the Angel in the heart of London and our wonderful students travel from across the capital to learn with us. All teachers are expected to be pastoral tutors to a group of up to 22 A level students and we have a wide range of enrichment and extension activities to develop our students’ confidence and skills.
