The EBN Academy is an Alternative Provision Free School that has been established by the 12 secondary schools in the East Birmingham Network and was the first of its kind in the country.

The Academy caters for students aged 13-16 for whom mainstream education is no longer appropriate and a different type of educational experience is necessary to change the outcome for these students.

The EBN Academy had its first Ofsted inspection in May 2014 and was judged as a good school with outstanding features.

We now have an opening for a Maths Curriculum Leader for EBN Academy 2 to start Easter 2017. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school committed to raising academic achievement in a caring environment.

We also offer private health insurance for new employees. This curriculum Leader for Maths post will be on UPS1-UPS3 depending on experience.

  • Hold QTS or equivalent qualifications 
  • Help foster a culture of high expectations and achievement within the department. 
  • Raise standards through motivating, challenging and inspiring students 
  • Proven record of leading others
