Curriculum Leader: Modern Foreign Languages

Stanborough SchoolHertfordshire

Curriculum Leader: MFL

TLR  1c (£10,208)

Required September 2021

We wish to appoint an outstanding and inspiring Curriculum Leader of Modern Foreign Languages to lead this highly successful curriculum area in the school.

The ability to teach French to Key Stage 5 and Spanish to Key Stage 3 would be an advantage, but is not essential.  Modern Foreign Languages is a popular subject at Stanborough and all students study a language in Key Stage 4.  Both French and Spanish are offered at Key Stage 5.

The Modern Foreign Language Faculty is a well-run and very successful curriculum area in the school.  Staff in the faculty work collaboratively together and the standard of teaching at all levels is excellent.  Resources are shared and the faculty has an excellent reputation for the quality of its provision for students.

This post would equally suit an existing leader or a suitably experienced teacher who wishes to make their first move into middle leadership and wishes to lead the development of this curriculum area. An excellent induction and support programme will be available to all applicants.

For an informal discussion about this post please contact Tim Braybrook Deputy Headteacher at tbraybrook@stanborough.herts.sch.uk

Applications are invited by letter to Mrs M John, Headteacher, (no more than 2 sides of A4) together with a Stanborough application form.  Further information and application forms are available on our website:  www.stanborough.herts.sch.uk

We reserve the right to call candidates for interview before the closing date

Further details are available from the school or downloadable from the school website.
