Job overview

Curriculum Leader of Art, Design and Technology for  First subject Art or Design Technology

We are looking for ambitious people who share our commitment to ensuring excellent academic progress and outcomes for all pupils. Our motto is "excellence through endeavour” because we are resolute in our belief, that through a balanced combination of support, challenge and hard work we can all achieve beyond our expectations.

We are seeking curriculum leaders who:

  • are motivated by a strong moral purpose and ambition for every single pupil
  • have substance and credibility as a teacher
  • are passionate about their subject specialism
  • exude potential and their desire to grow professionally
  • are genuinely committed to teamwork.

This is a once in-a-professional-lifetime opportunity to build something very special. Our school Trust partnerships will provide you with the support needed for your leadership growth and specialist curriculum development.

We are holding an Information Event at Richmond upon Thames College, Egerton Road, Twickenham, TW2 7SJ on Wednesday 8 March, 18:30-20:00. The event will provide an opportunity to learn more about our vision and ethos, meet the Headteacher, Kelly Dooley, our Senior Team and our trustees. Please sign up to attend via the vacancies page on our website. If you would like to arrange an informal, confidential discussion with the Headteacher before applying, please contact our project coordinator Sarah Filby, info@rts.richmond.sch.uk or on 020 8891 7405.

Closing date: Monday 20 March

To apply for this role, click the apply button where you will be re-directed to the school's website to complete the online application.

RTS will open to 150 Year 7s in September 2017, growing by 150 year on year until full. We will be an 11-16 mixed school with an open admissions criteria. The school will be co-located with Haymarket Media Group, Clarendon School, Richmond upon Thames College and site neighbours Harlequins on the Richmond Education and Enterprise Campus (www.reec.org.uk).

The Richmond upon Thames Free School Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be expected to complete an enhanced DBS check and to disclose any information relevant to Disqualification by Association.
