We are currently recruiting for a Curriculum Leader of English to join our successful and expanding academy. We are an over-subscribed school, with a strong positive reputation in the community, and our students make exceptional progress. Our English results last summer, in both Language and Literature, were exceptionally strong and we anticipate similar outcomes this year. 

We are looking for someone who has vision, can think strategically and has the ability to lead the team effectively. We want someone who is also passionate about teaching engaging lessons, that will help students appreciate the importance of the subject and develop the skills they need for life.  

The successful candidate will: 

  • Be creative and have the necessary qualities to lead the English team in successfully delivering an engaging curriculum to all key stages 
  • Be able to develop, plan and deliver high quality and engaging learning experiences to all students 
  • Have a good understanding of the requirements of the English specification and the skills needed in order for the students to be successful
  • Be an aspiring or experienced middle leader who is enthusiastic about their subject and shares the values of the school
