Curriculum Leader of PE

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational Curriculum Leader of PE, with subject responsibility for Health and Social Care to lead a talented group of teachers within a strong, successful and forward looking department.

The Priory Witham Academy is an ‘all through’ (EYFS – 18) Academy in Lincoln that is central to the community it serves. The successful applicant will be committed to raising standards of PE and Sport and will ensure the continued high standards of teaching and learning from Year 1 to 13.  They will be an excellent practitioner with a strong understanding of the curriculum and be able to evidence impact through improving outcomes for pupils, increasing levels of extra-curricular participation and increasing opportunities for school representation.  Experience of Key Stage 5 delivery would be useful although not essential.  The successful applicant will believe in building strong relationships with staff and students and have the ability to motivate people to work towards a clear vision for the department.  The department has excellent resources including a sports hall, dance studio, fitness suite, swimming pool and extensive outdoor areas.  The department benefits from a full time swimming teacher and additional PE apprentices.

The successful candidate will be passionate about their subject and able to demonstrate the dedication and motivation needed to inspire learners and colleagues to achieve their fullest potential.
