Curriculum Leader P.E.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented, ambitious P.E. professional to lead the P.E. Department within our outstanding school. It offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to engage and inspire our students through delivering stimulating P.E. lessons and to lead a small, highly motivated team working in excellent facilities.

Our P.E. department is a lively and dynamic department with fresh ideas and talented staff, providing our pupils with excellent provision at all key stages and a broad spectrum of extra-curricular activities. 

We are seeking a Curriculum Leader to lead the department and to teach across the 11-18 age range. You will be highly motivated, enthusiastic and confident in your ability to lead and will enjoy delivering high quality, creative lessons and inspiring others through your love of sport. The ability to deliver innovative learning and teaching in a P.E. setting is essential.

You will contribute to the life of the school via extra-curricular activities in order to enhance the learning experience and opportunities for students in our school. 

The successful applicant will:

• Lead and inspire a love of involvement and learning in P.E.
• Be an inspirational practitioner who maximises the potential of students and staff.
• Enhance learning and teaching within P.E.
• Be able to teach P.E. to BTEC Level 3.
• Maximise achievement through rigorous monitoring, intervention and review.
• Lead the planning and development of the P.E. curriculum.
• Have energy, resilience, optimism, a sense of humour and the determination to see things through.  
• Make a full contribution to the wider life of the school, our extra-curricular offer and the personal development of our students.
• Be eager to act as a supportive Form Tutor.
