We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and self-motivated individual to the role of Curriculum Manager within the Construction, Smart Utilities and The Environment department, based at our STEM Centre campus. The Department consists of construction crafts such as brickwork, plastering, joinery and tiling, as well as electrical installation and plumbing, delivering to a range of qualifications up to level 3.
As part of the role of Curriculum Manager, you will be required to undertake management and curriculum responsibilities for specific areas of the department. You will be accountable to the Head of Faculty and be responsible for specific curriculum and the performance of this curriculum in terms of raising success rates, achieving recruitment targets and achieving good or outstanding inspection outcomes.
You will also be required to teach 15 hours in Electrical Installation and/or Plumbing.
The successful candidate must:
•Hold a degree level qualification, in a relevant vocational area
•Have a Cert Ed qualification (or equivalent)
•Hold GCSE English & Maths (A*-C)
•Have specialist subject knowledge in Electrical Installation and/or Plumbing
•Hold good curriculum planning and implementation skills
•Have the ability to use data to inform decision making
•Have a proven track record of managing staff and leading teams
•Have experience of IV planning and implementation
