The curriculum area consists of Sports, Public Services, Health & Social Care and Childcare delivering Pre 16, 16-18, 19+ and HE.

You will be required to ensure that the curriculum is managed, developed and
reviewed in accordance with College policies and procedures in order that the highest quality of provision and performance is maintained to meet learner and employer needs.
 

Main Duties:
 

1. To manage the day-to-day development of the curriculum portfolio, ensuring it is consistent with the college’s strategic objectives, government priorities and local/regional needs. To constantly review the range of opportunities, making recommendations to ensure our programmes are aligned with learners’ needs, wider employability opportunities and business requirements.
 

2. To actively pursue continuous quality improvement consistent with the College’s Quality Strategy and Strategic Plan.
 

3. To teach with an allowance of delivery hours.
 

4. To lead, motivate, develop and manage a curriculum team taking responsibility for performance management, personal development and target setting for individuals. Utilise staff resources to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
 

It is essential that you hold a degree or alternative Level 5 subject specialist qualification together with a full Level 5 teaching qualification.
 

It is desirable that you hold an appropriate Management Qualification at a Minimum of Level 4
 

You will have relevant and varied experience gained in a senior lecturing position e.g. managing a programme area and have the skills and knowledge to teach and develop Levels 1-4+
 

Please note an enhanced DBS will be required for this role. The successful candidate is required to meet the payment of this DBS check which is currently £44.
