Job overview

To act as second in the Maths department working closely with the Area Leader for Maths and Computing in taking responsibility for the curriculum leadership, quality improvement and development of the Maths department. This will include improving student performance; managing the performance of teaching staff; co-ordinating the delivery and assessment; and resource management, monitoring, and reporting; development of effective relations with external partners.

In addition, the post holder will have a responsibility to implement, and monitor the effectiveness of approaches taken in the delivery of the subject to meet the strategic objectives of the College.

The College is at the forefront of statistics delivery and is a leading provider of further maths in the county. We are involved in numerous projects with the MEI as well being an active participant in the Maths Excellence Partnership. The College works collaboratively with secondary and HE partners and staff within STEM are involved in initiatives to promote maths within schools across the City. This could be an exciting opportunity to work across a variety of projects within this area. STEM is a growing area at the college.
