Penistone Grammar School has an exciting opportunity for a temporary Curriculum Support Assistant who will work closely our inspirational team of mathematicians to directly support teaching in class, supervision and small group work, and indirectly in terms of general administration and the preparation of resources for lessons
Contract: Fixed Term, full time (part time considered), term time: 39 weeks per year
Salary Range: Grade 6 SCP 18 - 23, Salary: £27344 to £30151 per annum (full time equivalent)
Actual Salary: £22085 - £24352 per annum for 35 hours per week, term time
Start Date: Asap to Easter 2024 to cover a Maternity Leave absence
About the role:

You will have:
· Experience of working within a learning environment, ideally within a similar role
· Specialist understanding in maths (qualified to A level standard advantageous)
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, support and encourage learning
· Experience of working with students with special educational needs.
For a mathematics graduate looking at a pathway to teaching, this role would provide valuable educational experience.
