Overview of post
We are looking for a Curriculum Support Worker to support our Art, Media and Games courses. You will need to be familiar with the technologies and resources used in today's creative industries and must be IT literate. Ideally, you'll have an understanding of BTEC media qualification specifications and of the demands of working with students in this area. Chances are, you'll be a gamer.
Your role will include maintaining key items of equipment used by staff and students and inventory management (ordering, bookings etc.). We'd also like you to support staff in practical workshops, help demonstrate equipment and assist students with technical support issues.
You will be responsible for initialising and developing links with employers. This will include monitoring and tracking students work experience and commissions throughout the year.
You must have good literacy and numeracy skills. You should possess good communication and inter-personal skills enabling you to deal with a variety of clients. Knowledge of current and emerging developments in relevant technologies is essential.
