We are looking to recruit a passionate and dynamic teacher to join our Sports and Performing Arts team at Droylsden Academy.
The successful applicant will teach Dance in KS3 and KS4 and up to examination level. The successful candidate will also be required to teach Key Stage 3 PE and core KS4 PE.
This is a full-time teaching role commencing in September 2021. You will be working with students across a wide range of ability levels at both KS3 and KS4.
We would expect the successful applicant to deliver extra-curricular provision on a weekly basis in Dance and PE and also contribute to larger events and productions.
This role is suitable for NQTs and experienced teachers.
It is our intention that Droylsden Academy will form a Multi Academy Trust with three other local Secondary Schools on 1st September 2021. About Droylsden Academy
Droylsden Academy is an 11-16 Co-Educational School in Tameside, Greater Manchester. It is currently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (2022 and 2017). The Academy serves over 900 students and employs over 100 teachers and support staff. The school is heavily over-subscribed, has an impressive state -of-the art modern building and is in a very strong financial position.
The Tame River Educational Trust was founded in January 2022, with Droylsden Academy as its founding member. Our Multi Academy Trust (MAT) is a sponsored Trust (sponsored by Tameside College and Clarendon Sixth Form) and currently has one secondary school and an Associate Member secondary school (soon to become a full member).
