Hinchley Wood is an inclusive and high achieving school in Esher, Surrey, celebrating student progress and development as well as academic achievement.  We are one of the top 100 performing schools in terms of the progress our students make between the end of Key Stage 2 and their GCSEs, and highly sought after with 1,300 students on roll including 230 in our 6th form.     

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an excellent administrator to join our Data & Curriculum Support Team. Duties will include: 

• utilising and developing the school information management system (SIMS) to manage aspects of student data; 

• ensuring that all members of staff are able to access appropriate information and deputising for other members of the team as required, including providing administrative support; and 

• overseeing the school organisation calendar in respect of non-timetabled school events, assessment calendar and individual staff training requests, ensuring information is communicated to the relevant members of staff.  

The ideal candidate will be a team player who strives for positive outcomes with the ability to establish effective relationships with colleagues, and the flexibility to complete changing workload demands. An eye for detail and excellent organisational skills are essential.   

A good working knowledge of various software packages is also required, including database and the capacity to manipulate data, as well as being able to interpret information and communicate it in an effective manner.   School experience would be advantageous as well as a working knowledge of SIMS software.   However training is available and will be offered to the right candidate.    

The role is for 29 hours per week Monday to Friday during term time only plus attendance during the last 2 weeks of August.  The exact pattern of hours will be by agreement.  The Full time equivalent salary scale range for the role is £20,713 – £24,601 per annum, and the actual salary on point 16 is £14,588.   In addition we offer a two week autumn half term, a generous pension scheme, professional development support and an extensive CPD programme.

Hinchley Wood School is a comprehensive coeducational secondary school based in Surrey, for students between the ages of 11 and 18. It gained academy status in 2012 and multi academy status in 2019 - Hinchley Wood Learning Partnership.  In October 2019 Hinchley Wood Primary School joined the Partnership.
