Job overview

Dean Trust Ardwick is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Data and Assessment Administrator.

Dean Trust Ardwick is a recent addition to The Dean Trust family of schools and began life in September 2015 in a purpose-built new school for 120 Year 7 students. Since opening in 2015 we are gaining a good reputation and pride ourselves on our high standards. From September 2016, the staff and students moved into the new 1200 place school. Since September 2019, we have a full complement of pupils, whilst still enjoying the benefits a growing school brings.

Situated on Stockport Road, a main route into Manchester city centre, we are in the heart of the Ardwick community and just next door to Longsight. We are a local school for local children, and we are here to provide a first class education for the pupils who attend the school, and to serve the community.

The post holder will be required to:

• Leading and managing all aspects of Assessment, Recording and Reporting, retrieving
and analysing data as required, to ensure available data has impact across the School

• Being responsible for the data collection and production of School reports for KS3 and
 KS4

• Providing wider administration support when requested from the Administration Team
 Leader or Headteacher

• To be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the school timetable in
 liaison with the Deputy Headteacher

If you would like to work in a brand-new school and be part of our journey in setting the standard and ethos for what is intended to be an Outstanding school in the heart of Manchester then we would like to hear from you.

The Dean Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All post holders are subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring check and Disqualification Declaration.

Dean Trust Ardwick is one of ten schools (6 secondary and 4 primary) within The Dean Trust. The school is committed to the Trust’s aim of working in areas of greatest challenge and shares the belief that it is the educational right of the child to receive a comprehensive education committed to academic excellence - regardless of background or social standing.

Dean Trust Ardwick opened in 2015 to meet the challenge of increased demand for school places in Manchester and to serve the local community. In May 2018, Ofsted acknowledged the strong start the school had made, judging it as ‘good’ and recognising its ‘relentless pursuit of excellence’. By 2019, it had become a well-established ‘school of choice’ and had its first full intake from Years 7-11. The first two cohorts graduated from Dean Trust Ardwick with high achievement following rigorous TAG and CAG quality assurance processes. The school maintained strong outcomes this year with the first Dean Trust Ardwick cohort to officially sit a full GCSE exam season.

There has been a recent change in leadership as the founding Headteacher retired in April 2022. The new Head of School has worked at Dean Trust Ardwick since its inception and is therefore well placed to move it forward, on its next period of growth. Together, with the newly established leadership team, the Head of School has developed and shared a 3-5 year vision for a truly inclusive school where all pupils thrive, without exception.

To realise its ambition the school remains focused on delivering a high quality universal offer that provides all pupils with a curriculum that exposes them to powerful knowledge, places them on an ambition pathway and develops the character traits needed to seize the opportunities that exist in society. This is underpinned by an explicit focus on the school culture, where all staff take collective and equal responsibility to foster the culture the school desires and which our young people deserve.
