Role: 

This exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Data and Exams Manager, your role would be to support the senior leadership team daily with delivering high performing, flexible and effective data and assessment services that meet the needs of the academy.

Working alongside the assistant principal, you would also ensure the efficiency of the school’s examination and assessment processes, including compliance with all JCQ and awarding body requirements. You will also ensure that appropriate communication with all stakeholders and effective examination administration processes are upheld to a professionally excellent standard.

The successful candidate will have proven knowledge and experience in order to perform the role adequately and successfully.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·      Effective management and use of Arbor, the Academy Management Information System (MIS)

·      Oversee the school census including the appropriate uploading process Management of SISRA

·      Supporting the Senior Leadership Team with data collections and coordinating student reports

·      Creation of data dashboards as required

·      Maintain and manage student classes on Arbor, coordinating this process

·      Responsible for the overall smooth running of internal and external examinations, ensuring that all administration and preparation is undertaken

·      Complete GCSE examination process from entries through to results

·      Lead the JCQ inspection process

·      Organise appropriate arrangements for the support of candidates with special examination requirements alongside SEND leaders

·      Deal with the process for appeals, review of results and other administrative issues linked to this

·      Organise exam invigilators, including timetabling, allocation of work, training and ensuring that the most up to date information from JCQ is provided to them

Leeds West is a co-educational, non-denominational 11-16 secondary in the city’s district of Bramley. The school is a member of the White Rose Academies Trust. There are currently approximately 1,300 students on the school roll. The school is located near Summerfield Primary School and Stanningley Park. The school offers an extensive programme of extra-curricular activities from martial arts to chess. The school is also sponsored by Leeds City College.
