Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding team as a Data Protection Officer. This key role will lead on advising the Trust leaders in developing a culture of safeguarding the misuse of data. The successful candidate will ensure trust-wide compliance to GDPR and related Meridian Trust policies, procedures, and practice, including support and advice for schools.
Hybrid Working and Term Time Plus 10 days considered.
The Opportunity:

- Provide strong professional advice to promote the Trust brand and safeguarding of data
- Work closely with the Trust Executive Board and Senior Management Team to ensure compliance
- Lead on internal training and awareness of Data Protection
The ideal candidate:
- Have a good educational background with evidence of CPD
- Be confident in providing training and advice to colleagues at all levels within the Trust
- Have experience in processing Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA’s), Subject Access Requests (SAR’s), and Freedom of Information Requests (FOI’s)
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively influence
- Possess outstanding personal integrity and a high level of administration and time management skills
