Job overview

The Database Manager will plan and manage the school management information system (MIS) and ensure data integrity and security. He/she will manage the data required by the school for external and internal use, working to deadlines. He/she will also prepare reports and presentations for a wide variety of audiences within the school. 

He/she will report directly to the Assistant Academic Deputy Head, working closely together to ensure accurate maintenance of all online data. The Database Manager will liaise closely with the Office Manager and Deputy Head to ensure that all information kept by the School Office is accurate and up to date. They will also work with the Academic and Pastoral Deputy Heads to maintain and gain useful insight from academic and pastoral data.

We are in the process of migrating to iSAMS, so the Database Manage will ideally have iSAMS experience and will be part of a platform change programme.

The post is term time plus three weeks. The candidate should be available in school during weeks of IGCSE, GCSE and A level results. Normal hours of work are 35 hours per week.

Francis Holland School, Regent’s Park, is a leading independent school, for girls aged from 11-18, located in Marylebone, central London. There are currently over 550 pupils on roll. Francis Holland is in the top 30 independent schools in London for GCSE and A Level grades.

Francis Holland School was founded in 1878 by the Reverend Canon Francis Holland. It was originally opened in Baker Street, where it remained until 1915, before relocating to a new purpose-built site near Clarence Gate.
