Gresham's SchoolNorfolk

Day Matron

Required for: at the earliest opportunity

(Part-Time Job Share – 2 days per week)

Gresham’s School is situated in the Georgian town of Holt and sits within 200 acres of glorious countryside. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, and with the Norfolk Broads and the North Norfolk Coast just a few miles away.

Gresham’s offers a rare opportunity where children can join us at our Nursery and Pre-Prep from the age of two and continue with their education at our Prep and Senior Schools to 18. At Gresham’s we recognise that every child has different strengths and talents and we pride ourselves on recruiting staff who can recognise, nurture and help pupils reach their true potential.

We are currently looking to recruit a Day Matron on a part-time job share basis to join one of our Senior School Girls Boarding Houses. Working closely with the Housemistress, your main responsibilities will be the overall pastoral care of boarding and day pupils between the ages of 13 and 18. The ability to communicate effectively between pupils, parents and staff is essential to creating a happy home from home for our children.

The ideal candidates will be kind, approachable, well organised and energetic with a passion for working with young people. Previous experience in a similar role or background in a care role within a school, hospital or care home environment would be an advantage. An awareness of Child Protection and Safeguarding is desirable, however full training will be provided. A driving licence, and preferably own transport, is essential.

To apply for the role, please visit our website www.greshams.com/Job-opportunities where you will find an application form and recruitment pack. Our recruitment team can be contacted by email at hr@greshams.com

Closing Date: 15th April 2021

Interviews: TBC

Start Date: at the earliest opportunity

Please note we reserve the right to appoint to the post, prior to the closing date.

If you wish to talk informally about the role before applying, please contact Mrs Julie Flower, Director of Pastoral Care & DSL, at jflower@greshams.com
