Due to the move of our current Dean of Activities for an exciting job opportunity overseas, we are seeking an experienced professional to lead the Secondary School’s co-curricular programmes, including service, outdoor education and immersion trips. The Dean of Activities will lead and work closely with the Coordinators of Drama, Music, Dance, Service, Debating, Outdoor Education, Sport and individual activity and club coordinators. These activities complement the School's academic program, contributing to the School's vision of educating well-rounded young people in a contemporary educational context. The successful applicant will also have a 0.2 FTE teaching responsibility.

This position reports to the Head of Secondary School and is part of the Secondary School Leadership Team. The Dean of Activities will work in collaboration with the Head of Secondary School Sport and all Coordinators of Activities to ensure the consistent and effective delivery of a diverse and high quality program for students. 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • the leadership of the co-curricular programme and coordinating staff;
  • taking responsibility for offering an extensive range of opportunities characterised by quality, consistency and a commitment to continuous improvement;
  • responsible and effective budgetary management;
  • communication and engagement with stakeholders
