Located in the town of the same name in Moray, Scotland, Lossiemouth High School is a six-year comprehensive. Co-educational, the school was first established as a comprehensive in 1974, and has seen extensive development and modernisation since then. The school today can boast of a range of facilities including a swimming pool, science labs, and a large multi-purpose hall. Around 550 pupils attend the school, making it smaller than the average secondary of its type, with the student intake being drawn from a number of local town and villages.

They cooperate well in pair and group activities. Staff increasingly plan lessons which engage young people actively in their learning. In some lessons, young people benefit from engaging in high-quality discussion and creative thinking. Young people enjoy taking responsibility for and leading their own learning.”
