Carluke High School is a co-educational comprehensive school based in South Lanarkshire for students aged 12-18. It is a non-denominational school.

The school has approximately 1,200 pupils and a teaching staff of just over 100 teachers. It offers a broad, balanced curriculum delivered by 5 faculties and 6 teaching departments, a well-equipped Library Resource Centre and 3 ICT Rooms. Each of the school’s teaching blocks is separated by a landscaped courtyard, and its pupils have been heavily involved in designing these.

Carluke High School’s school motto is “through teamwork and friendship”. Its vision is for everyone involved with the school to work together to create inspirational learning opportunities for students. It aims to sustain a happy learning environment within the school by developing students’ character, confidence, courage, and kindness. Above all, the school values those who are ambitious, optimistic, and respectful of others.

Most teachers provided a range of appropriate activities to stimulate and maintain the interest of pupils… The quality of pupils’ learning experiences was good overall.
