We are looking to appoint a creative, enthusiastic Teacher of Religious Education who can maximise student achievement across all three Key Stages.
The post requires a Religious Education specialist with a good honours degree and relevant experience and offers the opportunity to teach GCSE and A Level. The right candidate must:
• Be able to take responsibility for leading a Key Stage
• To play a significant role in the development of the wider Catholic life of the school
• Be an outstanding teacher with a comprehensive understanding of the curriculum
• Have the ability to inspire excellent teaching and learning
• Have the ability to lead, manage and liaise effectively with staff, students and parents in order to ensure our students achieve outstanding academic progress

About St Richard Gwyn Catholic High School
St Richard Gwyn Catholic, based in Flint, Clwyd, is a secondary state school for children between the ages of 11 and 18. It is an English medium voluntary-aided comprehensive. It serves the whole of Flintshire. At present, there are currently 811 students enrolled at the school. 122 of them are in sixth form. The school celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2014.

St Richard Gwyn Catholic High School’s motto is “learning together in Christ”. The aim is to learn the rules of Christianity and follow the guidance from Jesus Christ. St Richard Gwyn values politeness, respect for everyone and honesty. Teachers aim to create a caring and happy environment for the students to learn in. Students also are able to take part in out of school clubs and activities. This includes participating on the school’s student council.
