We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and well-qualified mathematics specialist to support the Curriculum Leader for Maths to lead and manage our mathematics department. You will play a leading role in continuing to take our maths department forwards, setting the highest possible expectations in all aspects of the curriculum and learning experience of young people in maths. You should be able to facilitate and encourage inspirational learning experiences in mathematics, with a focus on continuing to raise standards and further developing the quality of teaching and learning within the department.

Our maths team pride themselves on cultivating a lifelong love of mathematics, educating young people to be brilliant mathematicians by providing them with the chance to master powerful mathematical knowledge and concepts, under the guidance of experts in their field.

About Plumstead Manor School

Plumstead Manor is a thriving and popular secondary school located in the Royal Borough of Greenwich. There has been a school on our site since 1913, with the first 105 years as a girls’ school. In response to local demand we admitted our first mixed cohort in 2018 and gradually move to being fully co-educational by 2022. 

We are a large, inclusive, comprehensive school and have capacity for 1,500 students aged 11-18. We have our own Sixth Form of around 300 students and welcome students from our own cohort as well as students from within the local area. Our students progress onto the full range of future pathways, including medicine and veterinary science courses at the most competitive universities and high-quality apprenticeships.
