Academies Enterprise Trust is the largest multi-academy trust (MAT) in the country with a national network of 63 primary, special and secondary academies across England. Under new leadership, with an entirely new executive team and new Trust Board members, AET is now a radically different organisation. School improvement, governance and finance have been overhauled as part of a trust-wide programme to reform and renew AET and, as such, this is an exciting time to join the organisation.

This must be supported by efficient, rigorous financial control. To help achieve this we are building a new central finance team, which means we are recruiting to a number of roles.
Working alongside the Chief Finance Officer you will be a commercially astute, technically strong senior finance professional. In this pivotal role, at a crucial stage of the Trust’s development, you will have a broad operational remit, with plenty of scope to shape the Finance function to meet future needs.
The successful candidate must possess a recognised professional accountancy qualification and will bring broad, practical experience of working in a similar environment or setting. You will naturally enjoy the early autonomy this role offers and be inspired by the challenges contained within. You will be a courageous and highly credible leader, keen to make a difference from day one.
