The Science faculty are looking to welcome and appoint a passionate, committed and dedicated Deputy Director of Science to help lead KS3 Science here at Eden Boys' School Preston. 

This exciting role will involve working under the leadership of a newly appointed Director of Science alongside 4 new members of the Science team including a science technician. You will help to drive the department’s vision across the Science faculty. 

The department boasts 7 brand new state of the art science laboratories across 2 floors, 2 large preparation rooms and a wealth of all the practical resources required for the delivery of a full, engaging, inspiring and outstanding science curriculum. 

The successful candidate will be an outstanding classroom practitioner and team player. You will be a hardworking, organised and passionate individual with ambition, drive, determination and commitment to raise and maintain attainment and improve progress of all pupils in science with a focus on KS3. You will be able to demonstrate successful leadership skills with significant curriculum experience in Chemistry or Physics and have a proven track record of examination success. Through your previous experiences, you will be able to demonstrate and model the ideal qualities required for this key leadership role.
