Due to the promotion of our current Deputy we are looking for an inspiring, imaginative and dynamic Deputy Headteacher to join the Manor Fields Primary School leadership team.  

This is a fantastic time to join our school. We joined the Herts & Essex Multi-Academy Trust in September 2017 and we have worked together to raise the quality of provision and outcomes for our pupils.

School improvement is at the heart of this rewarding role. This post offers the opportunity to gain a wide and varied experience of all aspects of school leadership and management. You will take responsibility for driving specific aspects of the school improvement plan, which will ensure that your work remains exciting and that you continue to grow and develop in the role. You will play a key role in the school's self- evaluation and monitoring activities. You will work with colleagues on the leadership team to provide quality assurance in all the school's activities. You will also have responsibility for aspects of the day to day management of the school.

We are a friendly, supportive and skilled staff team and work with delightful and engaging pupils.  

You will need to demonstrate a proven track record of outstanding teaching and will have experience of leading new initiatives at a whole school level. You will have an inclusive approach to education, high aspirations for all pupils, staff and the school and the ability to lead and inspire a team. You will be a reflective practitioner who is proactive and constantly seeks to improve provision and outcomes for all pupils. 

Our new Deputy will:

• Be an experienced inspiring teacher.

• Be able to take a lead on the development of effective teaching and learning

• Have a positive “can do” attitude

• Have excellent behaviour management skills

• Be an innovative and strategic thinker with vision, ideas and strong ethics

• Have effective interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire, challenge and motivate the whole school community

The Herts & Essex Academy Trust (HEMAT) is a multi-academy trust created by The Hertfordshire & Essex High School. HEMAT comprises The Hertfordshire & Essex High School, an outstanding non-selective secondary school for girls from Years 7-11 with a mixed Sixth Form in Years 12 and 13, and Manor Fields Primary School, a well-established primary school for pupils from Nursery to Year 6.
