We are looking for a committed and dynamic Deputy Head with a teaching qualification in the 11-16/18 age range and a successful track record of leading and managing staff.  

The appointed candidate will play a major role in establishing practices and policies to achieve the aims and objectives of the school. He/she will display a willingness to be involved in all aspects of the school, striving for excellence and leading by example.

Thorpe House School is an all-through independent school in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, teaching boys aged 4-16. The Lower School (up to Year 5) operates on its own site and the Middle School (Years 6 to 8) and the Upper School (Years 9 to 11) are based on the main site.  The school has excellent facilities including a seven-acre games field, covered swimming pool and a new multi-purpose hall offering additional classroom space and increased indoor sporting opportunities.

Pupils are tolerant and respectful of each other’s differences and collaborate very well when working together. Older pupils develop supportive relationships with younger pupils.
