Harrow International School, New York is delighted to welcome applications for the post of Deputy Head- Academic Curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, highly motivated, and experienced leader to work with the Founding Headmaster in providing strategic leadership to shape a world leading school from its launch. Applicants from prestigious academic institutions and previous experience of having worked in legacy schools globally would be highly valued.

The Deputy head academic curriculum will play a critical role in driving the academic excellence of the school and building its reputation within the local and national context. We are looking for a candidate who can establish, evaluate, and develop the strategic academic aims and standards of a Whole School ethos in partnership with HIS, students, staff, governors, personnel, and parents. He/she should be responsible for the academic progress of students, establishing an innovative whole-school curriculum promoting academic excellence.

Harrow International School New York will commence in September 2024. In a collaboration between Harrow School UK, with its 450 years of distinguished history, and The Amity Education Group, a not-for-profit education foundation that provides premium quality learning in India and around the world. This exciting new venture will bring the Harrow and Amity ethos to Long Island. Harrow New York will bring together outstanding academics, student centred pastoral care, an inspirational campus and dorm living experience. A co-educational residential and day school, aiming to prepare students for entry to Ivy League Universities, Harrow New York in the first phase of development, a combined junior and high school (Grades 7 through 12) will be opened.

Harrow New York will blend the Harrow Values of Courage, Honour, Humility and Fellowship with the vibrancy of modern India, offering an exceptional educational experience, characterized by world-class academic and extra-curricular opportunities. This, then, is a unique opportunity to play a role in the development of this new partnership and a new geography for the Harrow Family of Schools, with the support, resource, and expertise of two leading educational brands.
