Haileybury Astana in Nur-Sultan Kazakhstan are looking to appoint an inspiring Deputy Head to join their prestigious international school to start in August 2020. Haileybury Astana, an award-winning IB school in the heart of the capital of Kazakhstan, require a forward thinking, proactive and flexible individual to manage the day to day running of the school and take overall responsibility for the welfare of the pupils and staff.

The role will involve all aspects of leadership, management and administration, including deputising for the Head when they are out of school. You will be responsible for leading the Pastoral teams within the school, support the school's ethos, aims and objectives, as well as being the designated Child Protection Officer. You will also be involved in recruitment, induction and the ongoing professional development of the staff. Other aspects of the role include being responsible for standards and quality assurance, ensuring the school is inspection ready, and that all school policies are in place and are being followed. You will monitor classroom teaching and management, be involved in assessment, monitoring, recording and reporting, and more generally, model good practice in all areas.

This position offers an attractive and competitive remuneration package.  The successful candidate will be a dedicated educator with at least 5 years of experience in teaching and administration, with a specific focus on Pastoral care and safeguarding. Having experience within the international sector would be beneficial.
