About you:

We are looking for an inspiring Early Years Deputy Head to work along-side and support the Early Years Head at one of our UK National Curriculum schools in Dubai. 

Qualities we seek in our Senior Leaders:

  • Passion and experience as a Leader, adept at delivering the UK National Curriculum across the EYFS phase;
  • Proven track record of having significant impact in the current post.
  • Drive and intent to secure rapid school improvement through creative and innovative approaches to learning and demonstrate the ability to embrace and promote change.
  • Enthusiastic and determined to support the school in continuing its planned improvement and growth.
  • An inspiring leader holding high expectations personally and for his/her team, supporting and challenging all stakeholders to be critical thinkers, and motivating them to achieve their fullest potential.
  • An unrelenting focus to maximise student attainment, progress and achievement;
  • An ability to build and develop highly effective teams, organisational structures and academic processes, whilst maintaining accurate knowledge of the quality of learning, teaching and assessment;
  • Experienced in the coaching and mentoring of staff;
  • Flexibility and an eagerness to support the Leadership Team to lead and manage a large school;
  • The ability to embed an inspirational educational vision, draw on best educational practices from around the world to shape the school’s strategic direction, within the aims and values of Fortes Education
  • Resilience, decisiveness and managerial skills required to effectively establish and embed high standards, and drive improvements in each phase
  • Commercially aware, fully comprehending the crucial importance of “NOR”, of working within budgets, and of making school and commercially viable and sustainable enterprise.
  • A person of high values and absolute integrity who will always put the needs of the pupils first.
  • Evidence and proven track record of holding a strategic role in leading a phase in a school, is desirable.
  • A collegiate and collaborative team-player, capable when necessary of decisive leadership, and ensuring that there is a seamless transition between the relevant phases of the school
  • Confident and impressive communicator who can quickly build a first-class team, is respected by all stakeholders, and has the capacity to inspire great learning and world-class outcomes
  • A first class leader who is able to prioritize, has excellent time-management skills, is conversant with latest ICT and socially collaborative education and project management tools that enhance the learning environment.
  • Should hold as a minimum, a B.ED or B.A & PGCE / PGDE or equivalent. Tertiary qualifications such as NPQH / PTC are desirable.  It is preferred that applicants have at least 4 years experience as a Senior Leader.
