In this key role, you will work alongside another Deputy Head to run the day to day curriculum operations in the Directorate of ESOL, EFL, Employability and Foundation Learning.  You will have a passion for excellent teaching, learning and assessment and as a key aspect of this role, ensure a high standard of learning experiences and outcomes across the directorate.  You will also lead and support innovative curriculum development, growth and diversification of the programme, contribute to the overall development and success of the College and help to ensure that corporate and strategic aims are met.

You will also have teaching responsibilities within your section of the department. The section includes a variety of courses from entry level to level 5 across the following subject areas: ESOL Entry to Level 2, EFL from Elementary to Advanced, IELTS, Employability form Entry 2 to Level 1 and the Trinity CertTESOL qualification. Your teaching would need to be within any one or more of these subject groups dependent upon your specialism and experience. 

You will take responsibility for all aspects of workload and performance management of a group of staff within your section and promote a student driven culture of high performance and excellent teaching, learning and assessment. 

Reporting to the Director you will have responsibility for implementing and maintaining excellent working relationships with national businesses and industries for the benefit of students and growth of curriculum development.

This role will provide many an opportunity to develop wider leadership skills and a potential pathway to more senior leadership roles within the college.
