A fantastic opportunity is awaiting you; the chance to become a key senior leader within our primary phases. King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO) are seeking a Deputy Headteacher who can inspire, challenge and motivate both children and staff.

The successful candidate will be ambitious and driven with the vision and talent to create an outstanding team and to bring alive the curriculum through inspirational learning and a creative approach leading to outstanding outcomes which will be shared with others. You will have a proven track record of leadership, the skills to promote the ethos and values of the Academies, as well as offering high quality support to staff.

The Deputy Headteacher will work alongside the Head of Primary, to ensure the smooth day to day running of both KAB and KAO whilst also promoting the highest quality of teaching and learning across the primary phase. Initially, you will also have responsibility for growing and leading the KS2 team and will be largely based at KAO. As an all-through school, you will also have the opportunity to work alongside secondary colleagues and students.

KAB opened in a superb building in September 2018 with 120 Year 7 students. KAB primary phase and KAO both opened in September 2019. As of September 2021, KAB will have Year N, Year R, Year 1, Year 2, and Year 7 through to Year 10 and KAO will have Year R, through to Year 4. Both academies are run cohesively sharing the same leadership, staff, values, curriculum, opportunities and expectations of excellence.

The successful candidate should be an excellent classroom teacher as well as an experienced leader. They will be a team player and will get stuck in and involve themselves in the wider aspects of academy life. A genuine commitment to our ‘whatever it takes’ ethos is essential to enable every young person at KAB and KAO to thrive.
