Kinabalu International School is seeking an internationally experienced and enthusiastic Deputy Head of Secondary who can help lead the Secondary School with drive, energy, vision and dedication. The Deputy Head of Secondary working with the Head of Secondary are responsible for the academic leadership and day to day management of the Secondary School. The successful candidate will be responsible for further developing the standards of teaching and learning in line with 21st century best practice.
Kinabalu International School is a not-for-profit, parent owned school and is located in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia (Borneo) and has gained an excellent reputation for delivering a high quality education over the last 45 years. The school is proud of its friendly, warm and nurturing community, where the student is at the heart of everything we do. The school delivers a rigorous academic education for students aged 3 to 18, based on the English National Curriculum and the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programmes. The new Deputy Head of Secondary with the Leadership Team will support the journey to excellence in academic achievement and the development of successful well-rounded global citizens, by working closely with students, teachers and parents. In addition, they will have significant experience of working in schools where a large proportion of students have English as an Additional Language.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to motivate, inspire and unite the KIS Secondary community, and be dedicated to developing a love of learning in all students.
