RIS, managed by Innoventures Education, offers the Montessori Programme at Foundation with integrated Cambridge Primary (CP) in Year 1. The Primary School offers the Cambridge Primary (CP) curriculum and the Secondary School offers the Cambridge Secondary 1 (CS1) up to UK Year 9, with IGCSE from Year 10. The school will introduce A Level in August 2017.

DEPUTY HEAD OF SECONDARY SCHOOL

Core Purpose

The core purpose of this role is to provide professional leadership and management of the school in line with the Innoventures Education mission to empower students with a holistic, rigorous and international education for success in an ever changing world. The Deputy Head will promote our core values of Achievement, Collaboration, Integrity, Respect and Responsibility, building a secure foundation from which to achieve high standards in all area of the school’s work.

Under the overall direction of the Principal, the Deputy Head will play a lead role in:

• Providing vision, leadership and direction
• Effectively managing teaching and learning
• Promoting excellence, equality and high expectations of all pupils and staff
• Evaluating school performance and identify priorities for continuous improvement
• Taking full responsibility for the school in the absence of the Principal/Vice-Principal
• Creating a safe and productive learning environment that is engaging and fulfilling for all pupils.
• Collaborating with all teams for the effective functioning of the school.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree and a recognized teaching certification (PGCE) and experience in leadership roles. Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision including extra-curricular activities.
