About Role

The Deputy Head (Teaching and Learning) leads Teaching and Learning policy, practice and development across the Senior School and coordinates the IB Diploma years, ensuring the vertical articulation and alignment of the curriculum and embedded approaches to Teaching and Learning from Year 7 to Year 13. The Deputy Head (Teaching and Learning) focuses on best practice in Teaching and Learning, implements the curriculum review cycle and supports the ongoing development of learning technology innovation in Senior School. The Deputy Head (Teaching and Learning) leads the departmental improvement planning process and review, ensuring that improvement is based on student performance data and is aligned to Whole College and Senior School strategic objectives underpinned by the college mission and guiding principles. The Deputy Head (Teaching and Learning) as a Senior Leader, works collaboratively with the Senior School Leadership team and is involved in upholding and supporting the highest standards of Health and Safety and Safeguarding and the smooth day to day operation of Senior School.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

Holds a Master’s degree, preferably in Educational Leadership or Teaching and Learning.

An experienced international teacher and leader with IB Coordinator experience and demonstrated impact in the area of Teaching and Learning, committed to the IB ethos and Approaches to Teaching and Learning.

A leader committed to holistic education, who shares the college values and seeks an opportunity to join a thriving community.

A reflective professional with strong inter-personal skills, who engenders high trust through building and establishing positive relationships with all stakeholders.

A resilient educator with a high degree of inter-cultural intelligence, able to effectively navigate change and leverage opportunities.

A Team player with a highly collaborative approach, able to harness the expertise of the Senior School curriculum leaders and teaching staff with a clear vision and roadmap for maintaining best practice in Teaching and Learning.
