An exciting opportunity has emerged to shape the future of St Columba’s College. The role is key in supporting the leadership team in developing the full life of Sixth Form with responsibility for enhancing the already excellent bespoke pastoral provision. The position is an additional role to support the development towards co-education from 4-18. 

The specific focus will lie in managing the transition and induction of all students into the Lower Sixth with a particular emphasis on the integration of external pupils. This will involve ensuring and developing a high standard of pastoral care attentive to the needs of all, but the female students in this era of change. There will also be a requirement to ensure that all students benefit from the exceptional co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities offered in preparation for life beyond St Columba’s College. 

The school has just undergone a successful ISI Inspection in which the judgement was made that “the quality of students’ academic and other achievements is excellent”, as were all other areas of school life.

We seek to appoint a leader who has vision, passion, and energy. A leader who is not afraid of change and is always seeking school improvement. The successful applicant will be an outstanding teacher in any discipline. 

The position is available to start in April 2023 or September 2023, however, the opportunity is immediately open for the right candidate. Candidates must be in full sympathy with its Catholic ethos and play a full part in the extra-curricular life of the College.
