This challenging role comes with full responsibility for the pastoral care and wellbeing of all pupils. Indeed, we will rely on the person appointed to deliver outstanding levels of pastoral care and support in order to meet and exceed regulatory and boarding school inspection requirements. Developing a Pastoral Strategic Plan and contributing to the College’s Strategic Plan is an important part of the role too, as is playing a full and active part in School Leadership meetings.
Leading on the identification, appointment and appraisal of senior pastoral staff and acting as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and primary liaison for staff welfare and concerns – all are aspects of a role that will also see you teach eight periods per cycle.
