DEPUTY HEAD (PASTORAL)
Owing to the retirement of the present incumbent this post has arisen. This is a wonderful opportunity for an exceptional and dynamic individual to join the Senior Leadership Team at Durham High School.
Durham High School is a leading all-through independent Church of England girls’ school, welcoming those of all faiths and none. The School is based on a single site in the beautiful and historic city of Durham.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Headmistress and Senior Deputy Head and be responsible for discipline and pastoral care and as the School’s Designated Safeguarding Lead, will be responsible for Child Protection and Safeguarding.
Candidates should have a track record in leadership, be collaborative, have excellent communication skills and a genuine sense of humour. The post holder is expected to be sympathetic to and supportive of the Christian ethos of the school and to model Christian values.
