The Chief Executive and Head, with the Governors of the Mill Hill School Foundation, is seeking to appoint a Deputy Head Pastoral at Mill Hill School with responsibility for pastoral care and boarding. The appointee will be a dynamic and collaborative educator with the academic credentials, pastoral vision and leadership qualities to inspire the Mill Hill community. A person of exemplary experience and quality is required who will bring imagination and innovation to the School’s Senior Leadership Team.

Established in the 19th century as a school for non-conformists, the Mill Hill School Foundation continues as a forward looking and liberally minded education establishment. All four schools within the Foundation share the goal of equipping pupils for life now and in the future.

The successful candidate will ideally take up the post in September 2018.

About Mill Hill School

The Mill Hill School Foundation offers education to boys and girls aged between 3 and 18 in its four Schools. The Schools occupy a magnificent 160 acres of beautiful grounds just 10 miles from Central London with easy access to underground and main line stations.

Mill Hill School is the senior school in the Foundation and the largest in our group, catering to boys and girls aged 13-18. We offer weekly and full boarding, although the majority of students are day pupils. Our unique culture and approach offers pupils an education which is of distinctive quality, with an effective balance between academic and co-curricular pursuits, alongside careful pastoral support.

Mill Hill is a wonderful community to work and learn in, and our pupils and staff greatly enjoy their time with us. We are proud of our excellent standards and wide-ranging success, but never complacent and always focused on continual improvement.
