The Opportunity

This is an exceptional and rare opportunity for someone who has the qualities, skills and experience to be the Deputy Head - Pastoral of Cheltenham Muscat following its successful opening in September 2021.

Cheltenham Muscat is Oman’s first, premium, British school, for boys and girls aged 3 to 18, founded in partnership with one of the UK’s finest schools, Cheltenham College. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the school’s Principal with the objective of delivering an outstanding, all-round education underpinned by excellent pastoral care. Our ethos and values are based on 180 years of education excellence at Cheltenham College in the UK and our aim is to quickly establish Cheltenham Muscat as the leading school for boys and girls in Oman.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

Cheltenham Muscat opened in September 2021 and is the first UK premium school for boys and girls aged 3 to 18 in Oman. Our partnership with Cheltenham College UK , who have been educating pupils both from the UK and abroad for one hundred and eighty years is genuine.

The structure of Cheltenham Muscat is:

Pre-Prep           KG1 – Grade 2

The school is located in the Al Bandar Masterplan – a 1.1 million square metre development situated in close proximity to Muscat International Airport, City Centre Muscat and many residential communities. Our state-of-the-art campus houses some of the finest school facilities in Oman. These include dedicated libraries, a central atrium, a STEM centre, an Art and Design centre, music and drama classrooms and practice rooms, IT labs, indoor and outdoor sports facilities and a 25m x 6 lane pool plus learner pool.
