Rowan Preparatory School are seeking to appoint an inspirational and outstanding Deputy Head who will also be responsible for the Preschool and Pre-Prep from Nursery to Year 2. 


Rowan is a dynamic, happy and nurturing independent girls day school, which prepares pupils (aged 2-11) for the challenges they will face in life, helping them to develop compassion, respect and a life-long love of learning.  All the girls are valued as individuals and the school attaches great importance to the quality of teaching and learning that is at the very heart of their philosophy on education.

The Deputy Head will be member of the Senior Leadership Team and have responsibility for the teaching, learning and pastoral care of pupils from Nursery to Year 2.  The successful candidate will be full of energy, ideas, warmth and laughter, and will provide vision and leadership to a team of committed and dedicated teachers and assistants ensuring the continuing development of this busy and highly successful girls' prep school.  Outstanding teaching ability and experience of Early Years and KS1 is essential and understanding of modern educational developments and a willingness to contribute to the wider areas of school life is required.  The individual must be a strategic thinker and confident to lead change, someone who is excited to act as a pioneer in developing new initiatives and innovative pedagogy.  There are excellent opportunities for professional development linked to your personal ambitions and moving the school forward.
