The Hampshire School is a unique co-educational, inter-denominational, preparatory school for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 13 years based in the heart of Chelsea. We are looking for an outstanding and innovative leader to join our successful school in September 2017. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-qualified and motivated individual who is seeking to enhance their career by joining and developing the senior leadership team of a growing independent Prep School.
The successful candidate will share our vision of providing all of our children with the highest standard of education, creatively meeting the needs of each individual child. They will be the positive interface between the Headmaster and the leadership team in driving a curriculum review to ensure our educational offer is the best in London.
The successful candidate will:
- Be an outstanding teacher who leads by example and supports the professional development of others.
- Understand and take accountability for a high quality curriculum that embraces modern technology and new ways of working.
- Have an innovative approach to strengthening the Science, Digital Technology and Maths programme delivered across the school to help define us as STEM focused.
- Have the ability to further develop the individualised ISEB 11+\13+ programme
- Ideally have experience in both independent prep and state school education.
- Be ambitious for the children, ensuring that the teaching and learning across the school equips them for the competitive entry examinations to Independent Secondary schools at year 6 and year 8.
- Have outstanding communication skills both written and verbal and be able to engage all stakeholders, working closely with students, parents and staff.
