We are seeking to appoint a committed and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to help drive our vision for educational excellence and social inclusion. They will join our Senior Leadership Team from September 2023. As the sole Deputy Headteacher, the successful candidate will:

  • be a visionary thinker,
  • offer strategic leadership, management and further development of pastoral care,
  •  provide guidance and support to all members of our school community,
  •    be an exceptional teacher and leader, with a strong understanding of pedagogy.

You will make a significant contribution to the success and leadership of our school, working closely with the Headteacher to deliver excellence in education in an holistic setting.

Hutton Church of England Grammar School and Sixth Form is a high performing, regularly over- subscribed 11-16 comprehensive single-sex boys’ school with a co-educational Sixth Form. We aim to share God’s love by being a welcoming and inclusive school that looks for the best in everyone.

We are currently judged as ‘Good’ by Ofsted (2022) and ‘Outstanding’ by SIAMS (2018) and centre all we do around our Christian Values; these can be best summed up in Colossians 3:23

About Hutton Church Of England Grammar School

Hutton Church of England Grammar School is based in Hutton, Preston, in Lancashire. The school, which opened in 1552 is a religious establishment that is a part of the Church of England. It is boys only, voluntary aided, secondary school with a sixth form. It educates boys between the ages of 11 and 18. At present, there are approximately 858 pupils enrolled at the school including 152 students on the roll in sixth form.
